Ive got a 2001 340 sundancer. I filled the holding tank last weekend by accident. I'm looking to get another filter to replace the one that now stinks.... :smt021 I see that there are difference size hookups 5/8, 1 inch, etc. but Im not down at the boat. Does anyone know the size hookup for this year and size boat?

Thanks!

In the "for what it's worth" department you should strongly consider the suggestion in the link above regarding using some form of bag (pantyhose were suggested but do ladies actually still wear these???) to contain the charcoal.

I deployed this DIY project this spring on my 340. The problem in having two "halves" of the can is that you can't maintain both sides completely full while connecting them together. You have to go horizontal which spills some of the charcoal. My experience is that any space on the top of the charcoal is barely better than having a crap filled filter from an odor control standpoint.

Drop-in deodorizers seem to be a better solution for me for now. $8 should cover the entire year and then some....it's like having a holding tank full of potpourri.
