I just bought my first boat! I'm so excited! I love how she looks. I'm sure I'll be spamming you all with endless questions!

I plan on using her for fishing and camping on the beautiful Columbia and Willamette Rivers here in Oregon.

Nice to meet y'all =)

Here's a picture..

Welcome to CSR

Hi and Welcome to CSR! arguably the best Sea Ray information site on the web. That said I grew up boating on the Willamette River. Used to live in Laurelwood near Forest Grove Ore. I also owned a 1977 SRV 18 runabout. Great boats! Enjoy yours!

My boat came from cornelius. It spent it's whole life there until 2 weeks ago :)

Mine is a project, it needs complete new wiring and interior is in very bad shape. I look forward to making her better than new, and slaying lots of salmon with her.

I hope to finally get to take her out saturday, if I get her back from the mechanic in time. Cross your fingers for me ;)

Welcome to another PNW boater to CSR. That's a perfect boat for the Columbia and Willamette Rivers, and if you ever get adventurous, tow her up here and boat in the sun for awhile.

Can't wait to see more pics of you and the boat enjoying slaying those salmon. Just leave a few for those of us who live upriver from y'all.

BTW, here's a pic of my Galley Wench with a salmon she caught a couple of years ago.....

Wow, thats a pig =)
The fish, not your "galley wench" LOL

My boat went to the mechanic yesterday.. Since it is new to me and I don't know much about it, I asked him to go through the engine and outdrive and see what he thinks. Needs new spark plugs, exhaust manifolds are gonna get cleaned up, new fluids, and a new boot. I'm hoping I get it back by friday evening, the spring chinook are here and I'm dying to see how my sea ray handles the water. I still haven't gotten her wet!

I made the mistake of looking under the dash.. YIKES what a mess of spaghetti splices and wires than go no where. I'm surprised anything works! So that is probably the first thing I am going to tackle. Anybody have a wiring diagram? =)

I went to the marine store and bought a ton of supplies.. a columbia river anchor system, rod holders, bumpers, socks, a second battery, and a lot of rope. Now I just need a fishfinder and I should be all set.. at least for equipment!

Beautiful restoration! I am definitely inspired! =)
Thank you
she ain't perfect but a world better than when we started
and not much of a $$$ investment but alot of time
Have fun with your classic

Congrats and welcome aboard, so nice to have another lady on here !!! Hope you make it out on Saturday...keep us posted:)

Congrats on the boat and welcome! We're moored at Jantzen bay, spend most of our time between Gov't Island and St. Helens. Our overnights are usually in the Multnomah channel or Bachelor Island areas. Careful if you're out on the water this time of year - it's pretty low & lotsa rocks!

Welcome aboard and, thats pretty funny! A friend of mine is also looking for an older Searay and he wanted to drive down to look at that very boat. We seen it listed on craigslist.

If it makes anyone feel any better, we're in nearly 3K this winter with a repower/upgrade, new upper unit, and small fortune in misc nuts & bolts.

I have a 240 srv 1973 im not sure if your year has gas tank under floor boards in the center?
If you do pull up a few boards and check tank found out mine was steel and encased in foam.Foam held water and rotted tank. The old rays handle big water great.I took a buddy who owns a bayliner out in mine 2-3 footers full speed into waves at end of ride he couldnt believe how solid it was he said his bayliner would be on bottom if he did that!
