Any recommendations for who to use for hitch and wiring installation in the Charlotte area?

2007 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab Prerunner. No factory towing package. So i am going to need the hitch, wiring, ball and connectors.

These guys are located in Indian Trail and do good work. Not sure how much of a haul that is for you so you may want to give them a call prior to going to see them but they have worked on a friends truck and were very reasonible and very good at what they did.

We live in Indian Trail, so not a haul at all. Thanks for the advice!

The other option (not sure of the name of it) head down 74 like you are going downtown and as you get through Matthews (right past the Infinity dealership) there is a place on the right (right next door to Enterprise). May want to check with them just for comparison.

If you can turn a wrench, then you can install the hitch yourself and save a big chunk of cash. 99% of installations are no drill these days. Everything will line up with the truck frame. Wiring is also super simple as well.

Go to www.etrailer.com for some of the best deals on hitches and wiring. They will get you all set up, and shipping is free if you order over $150 (which you will by ordering a hitch, wiring, ball, and ball mount).

Depending on the weight you want to tow, you may be able to pick up everything at Auto Zone and install it yourself.

The wiring can be done with a connector, you unplug the one on the truck and insert the trailer connector.

The hitch is a bolt on. It helps if you have access to an impact gun, but not needed.

You'll be able to get a better hitch online or at a trailer shop than you will at Autozone, but the wiring can definitely be found there. Super simple install.
