Hello all and I am looking to purchase either the Highfield 340 or the Achilles 335, both tiller driven with a 25 hp, price is similar, both are new but the Achilles is a 2022 as well as motor.
Any advice as this will be my first Tender/Dinghy.
My boat is a 2000 510 sundancer with hydraulic swim platform

I don’t know much about the Achilles. However, I have a 2022 Highfield 340 w/25hp Yamaha. The boat looks great, has flat floor, fuel locker up front and sea deck type flooring. It is also relatively light with the AL hull. The Yamaha gave me a little trouble with the pull start. It got jammed a few times. Otherwise great engine. I can plane off with my wife, three kids and dog.

Thank you the input and I’m sure the 25hp has it going pretty fast

Very cool enjoy! You’re going to want another seat in that bad boy!

I get it and did the same thing. However when you crank the throttle you won’t want to be sitting high on the tube. I was on my knees and only had it at WOT for like a minute and it was very exhilarating to say the least.

I purchased a second seat and an under seat storage bag from Defender. Nice way to store life jackets and an anchor.

Still waiting for my 310CL

20 HP Tohatsu (white) tiller model

electric start, tube mounted bow step pad, battery, nav lights, additional plastic seat & bimini

After 3 weeks of excuses, allegedly being delivered today.

If I keep holding my breath on the broken promises, just call me MR. BLUE !

BEST !

Finally all set up with fuel tank and battery connected.
do you have to "manhandle" that tiller with the 25?
I used to have a 9.9 Merc tiller motor on a Mercury RIB and if you were into the throttle on a hard turn it was a bit of an effort to pull it back around.

It moves very smoothly, although I haven’t had it WOT for more than a few seconds as I am still into the break in phase on the motor.
