I also use a cable lock with a round key. I go thru one of the transom struts and up behind the motor

Your strut should have a hole in it where the floor meets the transom. Go thru there and up around the engine. Under my cowling there is a gap that you can go thru not around
So you are securing the motor to the dinghy…. So when they steal the dinghy they wont lose the motor
I use same style cable lock and go thru the tow hook and thru dock. That way if they steal the dock they wont lose the dinghy and motor

Never a bad idea to hide an air tag on it somewhere! Boy will they be surprised when you show up to take the dingy back with some friends. They are amazing, I have the 25hp on my 340 and it’s quite fast
Me and my trusty Sailrite sewing machine. That was a brand new Taylormaid cover for a CC that I picked up for $20 at our local marina's swap meet and cut it up for the material....

I don’t know about this air tag business. You steal my dinghy I don’t want it back…. I would use the air tags to tell police where not to look.
My aunt had her impala stolen and found a month later….. it was trashed and they gave it back to her…. No thanks

I'm thinking... Tag it, with these installed and connected to transom/bilge drain/sink plugs, chase them to deep water and push the buttons!

I used those for the rear spreader lights. Coming back in the black of night in the dinghy it's nice to light up the back of the boat remotely. They have a surprisingly good distance.

I've got a 25 on a 325. Someday I might pop a 30-35 on there though I think the plate says 25 is the max recommended.
