New to CSR and would like some advice on what service manual would be helpful for a 2000 Sea Ray 290 5.0L's EFI. My mechanic is great but says I can do some stuff myself. Thanks.

There is no Chilton's or Haynes type (aftermarket) book available (as far as I know). The best thing is to get an official Merc book. You can get them from a local Merc dealer (doesn't have to be Sea Ray) or Merc's online store - probably even flea bay.

:smt015Totally spaced on that one... Thanks. I even have some of those sitting on our front counter! Although, I will say that the Merc manual is MUCH more inclusive.

You might even find used Merc manuals available - probably at about the same price as a new Seloc.
