I just bought a 87 268DA in Grand Haven Michigan and brought it home about 1hr west of Chicago about a 250 mi trip another grate Craig’s List find. I just finished winterizing it but got to do a sea trial before buying it seems like it will run out ok. This is my first Cruiser my last one was a 84 Formula 242LS with a 330 hp 454 I loved that boat but kids sports got in the way 10yrs ago now it is time to start the Family Tradition again with my Grand Daughter.:smt024

hello another 268 owner from illinois. i just got a 1989 sundancer 268 this past weekend as a gift from a friend of mine. cant wait for spring to get it out on the chain but i really wanted to go broke and buy a new boat even though my 1989 is like new with only 150 hours on it, why not be completely broke and have to live on plastic!!

Welcome Dabdubo, Your story sounds familar except the boat. After 10 years of not having a boat for the same reasons as you, I bought a new Regal and traded it in for my 320 Sundancer in September 2008. I keep my boat on the chain. I have a slip at Bald Knob Marina. See you this summer.

Glad to see others from the area for some reason I haven't been getting up dates. Sundancerboy you have one hell of a friend there. Phil'n we are almost neighbors I am in Gilberts. I have a friend that is trying to get me a slip in Algonquin that way my wife can meet me there after work and I won't have to launch it every time. I work in Schaumburg and she works in South Barrington.
