Hey your c-ray'rs in Phoenix

Re: Hey you c-ray'rs in Phoenix

Surprisingly enough there are several large lakes in the Phoenix area, there is alot of water here in the desert, (who'da thunk) I boat out of Lake Pleasant mainly because its within 15 minutes from my house, 25 with traffic. Take a look at www.azmarinas for info on Lake Pleasant (most popular) and Lake Roosevelt (largest in this area). But I hear that Lake Sahuaro is probably the best for ditching crowds. And then of course there is Lake Mead and Lake Powell if you want to drive. Hope this helps.

DCarl pretty much hit all of them. With your setup; F250 pulling a Sundeck, the sky is the limit. You’d have access to Powel, Mead and Havasu, which are truly unbelievable and for shorter trips; Pleasant, Canyon, Saguaro, Roosevelt and Bartlett…….definitely Google them for pics, local information, etc.

We’re slipped at Pleasant but have been on all of them at one time or another. Pleasant is a relatively short commute for us and in our opinion offers the nicest facilities. It does get busy on the weekends and is arguably the most popular of the lakes nearest the valley.

You do realize it gets a bit warm out here in the summer time, right?

Good luck,
Chris

Its different-moved my searay 380 here from Essex CT about 1 year ago-some positive points and some not so positive points-positive -never had to take it out of the water for the winter-and saved tons on gas as I used to run over to NY (sag harbor) every other weekend-several lakes around the area-depends on what you are looking for-I ended up at roosevelt lake based on the size-the veiws just don't stop but can reach one end of the lake to the other in quick time-not much on the lake but the one marina-

Some lakes closer to Phoenix but can become very crowed on the weekend-:smt038
