Here else is the HIN?

I thought of something after I installed my swim platform from swimplatforms.com on my '99 240DA. It completely covers the boat ID # that is stamped into the transom on the starboard side. Where else on the boat is an ID #?

I could be wrong, but I don't think you will find it anywhere else on the 99 240.

I found hull numbers posted under a bolster in my 180br. Its probably posted somewhere else hidden on your boat too. Sorry I can't say exactly where but that would be someplace to look.

I found mine under one of my teak side steps, it was very well hidden

There's always another HIN # somewhere, if not more than one. If I'm remembering correctly, I found a HIN # behind the dash on my boat. I found it when I removed the gauge panels and looked in at the dash behind the gauges. Given your boat is very close in design to mine, there's a good chance there's one there on your boat, too.

Call SR Customer Service and pose this question to them. Have your HIN available (from your registration or insurance) because the secondary locations of the HIN may be specific to certain runs of boats.

That is how my platform came so it was still visible.

On my 93 330DA it is also on the starboard Side inside the cockpit underneath the comings. I have them off redoing them at present that's how I know!

Thanks for the ideas.... obviously there's no consistent place. I'll call SR customer service first in the hope they can help, before looking all over the boat.

Bringing back an old thread for future reference help for others. Yep, I found a HIN # behind my dash this spring when I removed the gauges.
