Sorry for the new thread but I thought this question warranted it. In an effort to finish up my windlass install project I am trying to locate the wires that correspond to the up/down buttons on my touch pad. I have found the solenoid wires in the bilge and confirmed when i put power on it, the "anchor" button on the dash works. But I can't find the "green and blue" wires that the schematic shows are the up/down. Sea Ray tells me they are there somewhere. Here's my issue, behind the dash panel with these windlass buttons and a lot of other buttons ONLY 4 wires come out. How does that whole panel work off just 4 wires??? This panel includes all the lights, the horn, the accessories, wipers etc. Maybe if I understood how these panels work I may figure this out.

I think if I can find where these 4 wires go and how they control so many functions I can then find the up/down wires. I can post more pics of my diagram if it will help.

The 4 wires are transmit/receive (+), transmit/receive(-), power and ground. The pads/panels communicate with the EIM (Electronic Interface Module). This is where all of the devices are connected. Your windlass up/down control wires will come out of the forward EIM... probably tied up and taped off in the wiring harness. See page 46 or 50 in your manual.

Thanks Jim! I was hoping you would see this post because I saw some from a while back that seemed to indicate you knew a lot about how these panels and EIM's and MUX processors work. That helps a lot. I will need to poke around those wires coming out of the EIM which is what i wasn't sure of. I should be able to find them up there.
