Help with 5.0 ,pi engine please

Yeah I hear you on slowing down but it has been three weeks so this along with dying relatives and other big issues going on, it is kind of got me at my wits end.

Start with taking pictures of your suspicious wires and you distributor. Male a photo bucket account , put the pictures in it and link them to this thread. And answer all of Bt doctors questions. Go over ever single thing that has been touched since the it started

First thing you need to do is SLOW DOWN
pretty sure you need #31 are you usa?

Turns out we cant find number 27 and 28 (fuse) and 29 on the engine. IO have no idea where it is but it is not on this engine.
Please have a look here.

My mechanic says it does not even exist, so i had to find actual photos to show him it is a fuse.

Anyway, can someone tell me please exactly where this wire and fuse would go when i get the part?
It looks like i will be taking the boat and putting the wire and fuse on my own.

All we have is a oil pressure switch and assembly and it has a lead with three wires going to it.

So i found half the lead, number 28 on the hull under the engine with the casing for the fuse cut off. Maybe blown off?

Please see the numbers on this manual....

I would guess that he is located in NSW Australia.

Thanks. This is interesting info as I have similar issues with trying to trace out my starting issues.

I need to know the method to trace too as I just bought this boat which was not running.

Besides verifying a good ground....Battery > master switch > starter > key > ecm > coil > distributor > plugs & injectors ??????

I'll post a new thread for my stuff later after I get home and check out a few things first.

Well the mobile mechanic came out today and he was fantastic. Got it started within an hour and then problem solved.
The problem was that the ignition wires were stuffed up. I guess he cut them back a bit and made them tidier and and now we have no problem at all. He found the problem by bypassing the front end all together and then we had spark. So he isolated it to the front and worked through each thing he could think of.

Thanks for those who attempted to help me.

Am I stupid here because I still don't understand what he did to correct the problem. ignition wires were stuffed up???????????

Yeah i guess the points of the ignition wires were not very clean. This was stopping the ECM from allowing spark.
