The top of my navlight is missing. I'm trying to identify what kind of light it is in order to get another. I can try to get a clearer picture but this is the best I have right now.

Get the name of the company that made the radar mast, and look on their website to find a part number or better picture. Likely a Perko or Atwood 360 light.

If given the option, upgrade to a sealed LED. Lower current draw when on the hook, and less maintenance. I have the Atwood...love it.

It is past time to upgrade to a much higher visibility light. Technology has given us much better options to improve safety and visibility. All my boats are upgraded to the newest LED technology. The safety is really worth it. It has generally cost about $300 to upgrade all the lights on my boats.

I won't be there for a couple days, but looking at pics it appears to be a Seaview mast and Perko light (I'll confirm of course).

The light bar is still there along with the bottom of the light and the wiring.

They took down the light bar when they did the shrinkwrap last fall, and I don't remember breaking it ...

I am still fairly new and won't be heading out past sunset until I have the daytime down solid. But I'm making sure my nav lights are all set now in advance.

Drill out what is left of the rivet and remove the old base. Go buy a new LED mastlight from Attwood. They are incredibly bright and look great. Remove the new fixture from the new "pole", and then wire in fixture to old "pole". There will be three wires. Make sure to get them right as the front half only illuminates for "Running Lights". I can't tell from you picture, but there should be some sort of locking collar where the mast light connects under the radar. Remove the mast light from the boat and work on it on a table/at home. You can use your DVM to figure out which connections work which way.

Easy project. I even did it with an assist or two from other CSR members. Good luck.

Ok thanks for the help/advice. It turned out to be an Edson mount and there is a bolt to remove the light arm. The light is a Perko and I was able to get a replacement with a cord long enough to get down into the radar arch for splicing.

Finally got around to wiring in the Perko. Great day for it -- 95 degrees and sunny so you look up and can't even tell if it's lit or not

But the days are getting shorter and it's cocktail cruise time! Now I'm legal after dusk.
