Help required - urgent

Well, it looks like you have a direction to start your investigation...

The good news is it's fresh water and not some issue with the hull. Another good thing is the fresh water is chlorinated (most likely) so it will help keep the mold issue at bay if you address this quick and dry everything out.

I can tell you I had a leak in my Whale piping. It wasn't a fitting but the pipe actually had a slit crack in it. So when I pressurized the system the water would spray out with enough velocity to hit the top of the bilge...Fortunately the water just dropped in the bilge and was pumped overboard. A quick stop at West Marine with the offending pipe and they cut a new one to size and problem solved when I got back to the boat.

I think you will have a similar situation. You just need to find out where the leak is.... I was able to pressurize the system and shut it off and listen for the water spray. That might help you.

Good luck....

Check the pop off on hot water tank. Could be coming from that. Happened on my 340 and I just turned off water to water heater and leak stopped.Changed pop off all good.
Thanks John; the hot water tank is located in the bilge so it wouldn't affect the interior, but I will check

Jimmy I had the same issue happen to me and ultimately found the fresh water pump was slowly leaking. It would pump...loose pressure because of the leak..and pump some more. Ultimately the entire tank would be empty when I would return after a few days. I replaced the pump and the issue disappeared. In my case the floor of the cabin had just been rebuilt and so the water drained well into the bilge and then pumped out because of the angle of the boat as she sits on the dock.

One of the things I learned is to not leave the water pressure breaker on while Im gone..things break and 50 gals of water is alot! Slows the ice make down but well worth the trouble. Hope that helps.
Good point, I checked the compartment where the water pump sits and it is dry, the pump works great. I will need to start from the pump all the way to the water discharges (galley, head and transom shower) and find the malfunction.

Thanks. One question: is there any communication between the cabin and the Bilge? In other words, if there is water in the V of the hull in front, will it run down to the Bilge? I don't see any opening in the engine compartment that communicates to the front.

I just came back from holidays so now I am sparing some time to update on the issues:

- I found the source of the water leak: a bad connection underneath the sink which has now been repaired. We also checked the hull with a gauge and it shows a reading of between 5 to 10 % which they say it is OK
