So i have 1996 electronics in my 240DA, they appear to be linked together. I have not used any of it (or the boat yet)

handheld garmin gps 45 xl
Furuno 1621 Radar and dome
furuno chartploter RP-110L
lowrance depthfinder (not fishfinder) (looks stock to searay)

I would like a FF-GPS-Chartploter-Radar all in one. However i dont really want to have to buy a new Radar dome. can the old dome work with any new electronics?

Can any of the sub $1,000 units do this? Or should i just leave the radar as is and add a gps/sonar/chartplotter.

I will more than likely will not need radar often, lots of islands so staying close to shore most of the time and the boat is only 24ft. plus i have no idea how to use radar at this point.

Also, can the old transducer be used for any of this?

I have a 1621 and I am pretty sure you are out of luck. You might be able to use the same cable from the dome to a newer Furuno combo unit, but you would need to contact Furuno to check the pin configuration. If you leave the radar and add the combo FF, GPS plotter, you can feed the GPS coordinates but not overlay the chart onto the radar...
