Not to disgrace Al Pacino or Michelle Phiefer, but the gold just has to go away !

Rubbing compound will work on the big hand rails but I need some help with the locking hinged cabinet buttons.

Seems like I saw a post on CSR sometime last year where these could be had in brushed nickel at a reasonable price, but my forum searches provide no joy.

Anyone got a handle on a source for these with the rosettes?

Go to flounderpounder and search for Hafele stuff. Can't tell from your description but that might be what you're after.

I completely removed all the gold from my 2000 Cruisers that is about the size of a 400 Sundancer. I bought everything from flounder pounder. It cost nearly $2000 to completely change out everything. We switched everything to brushed nickel.

The most expensive parts were doorhandle sets that were about $200 apiece and I had three of them. Than the Vimar light switch covers are about $40 apiece, I needed 20.

Then the push button cabinet knobs, I had near 40 on the boat and I wanted the metal, not the plastic knobs and I believe that the knob was about five dollars in the circle around it was about four dollars apiece.

I did call flounder pounder and talked to Ben and I think he gave me a 10% discount for buying all of that at one time.

RWS- If you go this route, I'll buy a few of the gold pushbuttons. I have a couple that are scuffed.

I just recently bought the knobs to get things rolling on my boat:

I think brushed nickel is timeless and looks great on the Cherry, but if I had white, I might look at black. Black is in all the new build homes now and even the higher end rv’s have gone that way. Never seen it in a boat, but I would like to.

You won't have to buy them, just pay it forward.

It'll likely be a couple / few weeks yet

I replaced all of mine from homedecorehardware.com

I needed 24 for my 400, it was about $260 for the brass brushed nickel rosettes and push buttons.

yes - worked out fine :)

The sliding drawers did in fact have an "extension"

plastic brushed nickel

my 26 year old factory knobs were plastic as well

Just make the extensions out of aluminum round stock. I made a few of them with my lathe. I just used the lathe because I have one; you could just saw the round stock and sand them to the exact dimension and finish you want.
