After driving it for 11 years, and 140k miles, I sold my silver '00 Tundra 4.7L TRD, 4wd Access Cab last week. The truck was great, and still ran strong (but the body was starting to show signs of rust (imagine that in Vermont... land of the salted roads) And now I am looking to purchase a new '11 Tundra 5.7L, 4wd, TRD SR5 Dblcab in a few weeks. I was looking at getting another silver, but the more I think about it, I'm thinking I might get a Radiant Red Tundra. I went today to a dealer to look at the Barcelona Red metallic, but I didn't like it as much as I liked the Radiant Red. The options list would stay the same of course, I'm just trying to get ideas on which color at this point. Here are some random pics of the 2 color choices I'm at. And of course, my boat is in my signature. The primary purpose for my truck is to pull my boat, but I also use it to do other hauling, going to the ski resorts, etc. I'm fairly anal about keeping my vehicles clean and zaino'd, so it wouldn't matter which color I got (except for a dark color - those are impossible to keep clean, and I'd probably go crazy trying to keep it that way) I'll probably wash it weekly, year round, or as often as needed/possible based on weather. Oh, and btw, my A6, is Silver... so a change up might be good here... ;)

thanks for your input.

hmmm, one person suggested that the 2 reds might be off and it might not look so good... haven't seen them together - maybe I should take the truck for a test drive and pull the boat and check that out. They're close...

Darker colors are harder to maintain - but my vote would be red. That silver may have spoiled you in how easy it was to maintain and keep clean! Of course - you could get blue and then be patriotic while towing!

I would say Red too. It would look really good towing your boat maybe with a big Sea Ray logo on the back window in white?:huh:

Uh oh, my redneck is showing!

Does it come in brown ? for sale brown 4dr trd.Hmm may not hold resale value.

White then add a nice red pinstripe to compliment the boat. Matches the boat and the salt!

It sounds like a rust color might be best for your area.......but I'd compare the red and silver side-by-side if I had any doubt. The silver looks best in the pics to me.

Some of the other color choices - I just found out they pulled the Blue color out of the lineup for 2011.

Between the two....silver. What if you sell current boat and get something that doesn't match red?

I'm looking to buy a new truck very soon too, but personally I'm steering clear of the bright red color, my least favorite. But my first choice would be the maroon...go figure.

For you, and because of your boat color, the red would look nice, *if* it matched. Might be better off going with white.

I wasn't too partial to white, but after I saw a GMC Sierra in white, I thought it would at least look good towing the boat!

Floriduramax, that is one nice truck; like the custom work you've done to it. Not too much, just enough. What's the decal you have there in place of the Duramax logo in the door?

I also do nor do rice burners---Sorry

actually silver is a b**** to match if you have a fender bender,Red is not that great either too many varients, but maroon isnt that bad. 37 yrs in a body shop thats what i know.
