My wife and I have been trying to decide for about a year which boat we would like to upgrade to. After looking at many we decided on the 2006-2008 290 sundancer not knowing at the time that one in good condition and used in freshwater would be so hard to locate. Long story short we found one, made a offer and put our boat up for sale. Well our boat sold FAST. The seller of the 290 decided he just couldn't part with it. Now Boatless. We have looked at the 280 and 300 butt my wife and I just really want a 290. I have looked on all the major boat websites, eBay, CL, everywhere. Drove to Ky, Chicago, and port Clinton and all 3 were rough. Any suggestions?

There was one for sale in Lake George...Let me check.
I was looking for a 320 and thinking of selling my 290....not sure if I'm going to yet.

Not sure if my previous post went thru or not.
There was one for sale in Lake George NY near me..not sure I it sold or not. I'll check around.
I was thinking of trading my 2006 290 for a 320 or 340 as our family has grown to 10 possible passengers. Not sure I I am or not...

Sorry just got back on and read this. Were you able to check and see if the 290 was for sale on lake George or give any more thought into selling yours?

I just bought a lake George 290 Sundancer and couldn't be any happier ... Good luck hunting ....

Congrats on your 290. Hopefully some people will put their boats up for sale at the end of the season and I'll be able to find a good deal on a nice clean one. We've looked at 290 chaparral's too but my wife and I are just both stuck on the 290 sundancer.

Tblair- there was a blue hull one in Michigan that came with a trailer that looked exceptionally clean and well maintained. When I decided to get back on the water I thought about going back to a 290 DA and considered that one. Priced ok but knowing what I sold my 2007 with a trailer for I had a good feel of its value. I'll see if its still listed. FWIW, sea ray didn't make that model in 2009. Only '06-'08. There were some changes each model year. '06 didn't all have the wood grain panel on the dash, had a plastic white windshield frame (i did not like) and an odd bump on the port bench seat. '07 got the wood grain dash, later models removed the bump in the seat and got a wider helm seat. As well as a stainless steal windshield frame. '08 got some new vinyl colors and DTS throttles. NICE! You will also notice some mild changes in the cabins as well.

Cinci aquaholic, I didn't notice the wood grain dash changes you talked about but I see now your right. And I don't like that weird bump out in the passenger side seat. I went to hilltop and looked at the blue hull 290 that you sent from boattrader and it's been in saltwater. Just my luck.

Oh and the one at lake Norman does have a genset but seller is firm on the price.

Yeah, in looking at the one at Cumberland you can tell from the drives. Look like they have been painted. I think the one at lake norman looks nice but a little high on the price. If it had a trailer then it would be a pretty good deal.

Just a note...The windshield frame is white...but is aluminum. I ended up changing the helm seat to a double...
Still thinking about selling an looking for a 320.
Let me know your email ad I'll take some pic's for you. I had an extended swim platform installed,Upgraded stereo and speakers and cockpit frig installed too.
