2001 SR 240 Sundeck - Can someone please assist me in accessing the rear of the ignition switch? Does the panel with all the gauges above have to come out?

Depends if you can see the ign switch and wires.if not the dash must come out for access

Look in the storage area ahead of the helm. My 210SD has a canvas/carpet hatch mounted up high, fastened with snaps. Pull it off & all the gauges are visible. In mine the ignition switch can be replaced from here, yours is same year but a little longer. I expect it would be about the same set-up.

No access from behind the storage area.....I removed the 8 screws holding the gage panel to the dash. It is pretty easily accessed from there. I did cut off a wire tie to be able to pull the entire switch out to change the wires. Thanks!
