I was T-boned last week..... sitting in my slip.
A guy ran into me starboard right about midships. I have a 1995 370 and he basically punched a hole with his bow. THere is a vertical gap from just above the rub rail to about 18 inches below. Under the rail is horizontal crack about 12 inches. It is broken all the way through and can be seen from inside the boat. The impact also dislodged the TV and broke the cabinet which is now about 4 inches away from the bulkhead. We will be removing everything down the the glass to look for any additional damage.

So with all of that does anybody have suggestions on where to get repairs? SeaRay, CSR? any others?

Thanks for any help.

That sucks! Hope you have good insurance.

I get a boating magazine every month called "Sea."

There is an advertizement for Pacific Fiberglass, Inc.
they are located 4300 11th Ave, NW Seattle.

Sounds like all new gel coat, paint.....almost a new boat. Don't know how good these guys are, but at least it will get you started.

Good luck....

I do but the guy that hit me insurance is paying the bills. He keeps his boat about 75 feet from me. THanks for the info, I will get to them tomorrow. My guess is that I take it to a yard and they sub out the work since it needs repair inside and out.

I'd have either Lake Union Searay or CSR fix it.

Holy Crap!! How fast was this clown going?? Good Luck with the repairs, Hope it comes out better than new.

I just had some work done by CSR Marine in Des Moines. I had a nasty hole repaired in the starboard corner of the stern, about 18" x 10". They did a great job and it looks as new.

Holy crap! Talking about going "fast like an a$$"! Was it real windy or can he just not handle a boat?

could not be going fast because there is no room. He was pulling out of his slip and had to do a 180. The wind was blowing him back towards a very nice big cat that is next to him in his marina and as he told me, "I was not drunk, just moved the wrong lever". He said it is the second time he had ever taken it out.
I think it was a matter of not reacting more than speed. Going to CSR and SeaRay this morning. THanks,

Inside pic: TV cabinet : CSR in Seattle is going to look at it Wednesday. I did get a call from the other guy's insurance SkiSafe. Mine is International Marine.

i'v worked on these same areas in the past---this is called the- SOFT SPOT -of a boat . it's right at the point of HULL meets DECK,and also one of the simplist areas to repair,as you can access both areas pretty easy --boats can be repaired--bodies are a little more complicated--i'm glad there was nobody hurt--good luck with it all !

I feel for you.....my boat was hauled for glass work from mid-May til the end of June. CSR should treat you right.....best of luck.

went in the boat yard today. On blocks tomorrow and ready to go. Going to take advantage of the time out of the water. Tune up the screws, polish and wax. What else? Already did bottom paint last winter. Maybe through hull lights?

Lights if you like 'em. Is it not worth throwing a coat of bottom paint on even though it's less than a year? The hoist is paid for I assume and it would save another pull out when you are ready. How long do you usually go before painting?

Painted the bottom Feb 2009. Took a look today and looks fine. We paint ever few years. We keep the boat in fresh water and to into salt through the locks.

Take some progress shots. Hopefully you get back in the water soon.

Too late. It came out of the water last week while I was out of town for work. Went by Sunday and the glass guy was working on the boat. Hole already cut and was working on filling. The hole is about 6 feet long. CSR is a great place and I have full confidence in them. I was going to buff it out but have no time so they are going to do that as put of the job. I will post when completed.

Almost done. THe outside is close. After they buffed it out they could see two edges of the repair. Can not feel it but can see it. Must be a color adjustment. Inside, the TV cabinet was broken but being a 1995 the formica can not be matched. So what they are doing is putting an Oak veneer on the TV cabinet, the stereo below it, and the frig front. It all matches the trim around the doors and mirrors. Should look great. I will post pics. We are also replacing the dash panels since they are so faded.
