Help ! - I spilled a liquid called 'Liquid Skin' on sette on 1997 Sedan Bridge

If you put acetone on vinyl, you'll be wanting to replace the vinyl afterwards.

Exactly!!! DO NOT USE ACETONE ON VINYL if you want to keep it! Hell I had a little bit of Off mosquito spray drip off the can and made soft spots on my vinyl! Believe it or not, several weeks later I was using the Spray 9 to clean the vinyl and it removed the spots from the mosquito spray:huh:

Yes superglue was originally developed as a wound closure agent and was used alot in Vietnam. Even came in a spray form for large gaping areas to help slow bleeding.

That was of course for the wounds that didn't respond to lighter fluid.

Generally speaking, yes, keep acetone away from vinyl. However, it can be used cautiously . I would recommend that this is also the last thing you try (well, maybe that magic eraser thing...). It takes some practice to use it correctly so as not to harm the vinyl. Use it in more of a light dabbing motion, not rubbing. In saying that, it's probably not a good idea to earn your wings by practicing on your own vinyl since if you go just a little too far, well, you've gone too far and can't go back.

yes, just before you take a knife to your vinyl, try acetone. You have about 2 seconds to get it off before it melts the vinyl.

You could use the knife to carve the grain back in the puddle while it is drying!

True, but after it melts the vinyl just spray a little lighter fluid on and it will look like brand new!

Of course, if it's vinyl, don't use acetone. :smt021

Oh, and lighter fluid only works on fires. :smt043

Pig dog pulled a plate of greasy chicken off the table and onto my cockpit carpets, you know what I used to get the grease off the carpet? I call it "turtles magic fluid".

Damn you, Doc... I was reading boating stuff until you posted that link and got me sidetracked on NFL stuff...

Good one!:smt001

In reality, you don't even have 2 seconds.
