Well I've looked and looked for info about changing the oil in the tilt and trim on my 99 215 EC. I have water in there and need to get it all out and find the leak. I found a manual type help but it wasn't the same type.
I don't see any drain holes in the resivoir and it sits almost on the floor.
It does seem a little loose. I don't see anything that looks like it might be leaking. Is this something the average guy can do? It looks easy to get to.

turkey baster works, drain and refill, remove trim hoses at the transom block, activate pump (up/down) untill clean oil at block,
the rearmost hoses of the rams are the up circuit, re-connect them ,make sure res stays full and operate the up circuit to raise drive all the way.
reconnect down hoses, operate pump making sure res stays full.cycle up/down twice and your done.
Water usually gets in the res from a high bilge water level.

Thanks I'll try that I don't see any way to get the darn thing off. I hope that works I don't remember any high water.
