HELP GPS & Transducer Question

I'm buying a Garmin GPS 740S and a transducer. My question is which transducer is right for my boat. I'll be pulling the old Raymarine ST60 Speed transducer out of the bottom of my boat (through hull) and using that spot for the new transducer. The guy that quoted me the GPS and transducer says that i'll need the...Garmin 50/200kHZ Bronze T/H transducer depth speed w/ temp fairing...The one i'm pulling out doesn't have one of those crazy fairing blocks and I hate the thought of that sticking off the bottom of the boat especially when the one thats coming out doesn't have one.

I have a 1998 310 Dancer...can anyone tell me if this is right before I buy it?
