Help!! Digital hour meter problem

I bought a 2003 280 sundancer in July this year and it had 62 hours on the port engine and 63.8 on the starboard engine. The digital hour meters gradually increased into the 90's until last week, when the port engine only showed 4 hours, while the starboard engine shows 94.8. The port engine hour meter is working, but seems to have reset itself and started over. Or perhaps the "9" is not showing??????
Anyone have any ideas of what happened?
