Is it hard to track down an exhaust muffler made by Centek part number 1601655....... long story short while replacing a water pump on the port engine , the muffler was removed to be able to do the job . Wife had to get off the boat , engine hatch was lowered and the muffler got cracked and damaged :( FML . Will Centek still have that model in stock ?

If this is a water lift canister style muffler it should be easy. You also might be able to repair it although the proper resins must be used to make sure it is safe from fire hazards. My boat was delivered with a leaky muffler caused by tightening the hose clamps for the exhaust too tightly. If you buy a new one, make sure you follow the directions for torquing the clamps as you can crack the fitting if you overdo things.

I cracked a muffler and was able to establish contact with center. After some coummications and an accurate sketch with pictures centek custom made an exact replacement for me.

Be thourugh as the first muffler they shipped wast exact.

I'd suggest repairing it with resin and fibreglass mat.
My fiberglass guy is going to repair it for the time being and I’m
Ordering a new one . The guy at Centek said flat out it can be repaired but we would just rather sell you a new one lol

Short of running it over with a truck, it can be repaired.

I changed the exhaust design and needing a new tube angle. I called Centek, spoke with tech support (fantastic BTW). They recommend the materials and I finished the job. There is nothing crazy about it.
