Any ideas on how to get at the port engine port side spark plugs on a 340 2005 Dancer with 8.1 Horizons? I just changed the other 12 without any problems but how in the heck do you get access to the last four?

I changed mine a few years ago and remember how frustrating it was for what typically is such a simple task. I remember having to remove a hose from the port side of the engine to access one, maybe two of the plugs. I also had to use two different extensions to reach a few of the plugs.

Hopefully this helps.

Bahamas, just finished mine a day ago, actually the port side wasn't bad, you need a 6inch extension, on rachet, I laid onto of the engine and reached over put the spark plug socket on first with extension and then attach the rachet. make certain that you hear a snap when you put the spark plug wires back on, one of mine wasn't on correctly and on the way home sunday we got a warning to check engine sensors. after playing around i found the one plug just about off, I guess the plug wasn't firing and the engine sensors found it.
all is well, good luck getting them out was a pain but it got to be cheaper than having someone else do it.
