Help Again…. Sad face

There was a valve directly under the strainer with a yellow handle. I left it open. No water came out when I checked the strainer. Maybe that is sea cock?

And yes I agree I definitely need to go through engine compartment with someone.
Yes, that is the seacock.

I love photos.

In this pic the yellow outline is a seacock with a yellow handle, the red outlines are two strainers. If you were able to remove the lid from a strainer, seacock still open, without water coming out (rapidly) you have a plugged thru-hull.

If no water came out of your strainer, and the seacock valve is open, then it's clogged at the thru hull or the hose between the through-hull fitting and the strainer.

I have an 07 320, and the generator has a 90 degree turn as the raw water comes from the through hull to the strainer, so on several occasions I have picked up debris where the strainer is empty, but the water flow is zero, or very slow after taking the top off the strainer. I now have a heavy duty zip tie that I can shove in there to dislodge the gunk. Sometimes, I need to remove the hose, as well. As far as the engines, I have only had minimal sea grass get into the strainer. If it’s like my boat, the engine will shut down when it detects low water flow, but I think yours is an 02, so might not have that feature?

Agree & should not be that difficult to clear blockage. Most likely can be cleared using a wet vac to discharge air and clear the line and thru hull

And the cleanest engine compartment of the Year award goes to...

And.... if you have a macerator, learn the seacock for that. Cause if you turn that key with the seacock closed you could get a nasty blowback and really ruin your weekend.

Blowback? From where? I've accidentally run a macerator with the seacock closed. Nothing interesting happened. No pooh went any where pooh shouldn't go.

Minimal blockage, replaced the impeller and belt. Water is flowing, but appears to have water pump issue. That will be replaced tomorrow. Unfortunately this is how I get to know my boat...$$$. Thanks for all the help and pics. Keep you all posted. Need ready for Memorial day...I mean what would all my seasonal friends do this weekend???

Good for you, wrenching yourself, saving money, learning the boat.
Weekend looks like a waste in Maryland. Rain 3 of 4 days. Don’t see much boating. Already canceled vacation day for Friday.
