Help….Onan 9KVA won't crank with good battery

Sounds like fuel pump is priming, and after about 10 sec a loud clank but no indication starter engaging. Of course the starter is on aft side of the gen and maybe a yoga master can get to it.

It looks like the starter solenoid was relocated to outside the sound shield on the STBD side by SR or orig. owner. Tried jumping it: no joy.

Any and all suggestions are welcome.
