Helm Seat Travel

I was wondering if anyone has a problem with limited travel on the helm seat that limits them to sitting while driving, or being very uncomfortable while trying to stand. I have a garelick pedastal and it does travel back and forth, but it is just not enough for my above average body. :grin: I am about 6' 1" and 260 lbs..I do not fit between the wheel and my chair. bigger boat? :smt038

My boat's pretty different from yours. But I had the same problem until I sat down in front of the seat, had someone else hold the seat release, yanked the seat forward with both hands and it moved almost 6" more than before.

The seat's in a wet environment, they stick. Get help or lubricate and it may move more than before.
