Hi.

My name's Magnus and I just bought a 1976 SRV220 in good shape. I've always liked the look of a classic American daycruiser and finally got around to buy one. Engine's a 1992 Merc 5,7 w. Alpha One gen2 outdrive.

Glad to be here :)

Welcome to CSR & Congrats on the new toy. :smt001

Hej Magnus,
Welcome to CSR. There are a few other here from Sweden. I visit there a couple time a year for Volvo. Mostly in Eskilstuna area. My family is from Ronneby area though my grandfather was the first to be born in the states. Where are you located?

As you can see I have a 76 SRV200 with a 5.0.
A+ on the classic lines of the older boats.

Thank you all. I'm located in Stockholm where I'll enjoy the archipelago in my 220. About 30000 islands to explore - might take a while.

Next time I fly into Arlanda I may look you up. I think I will be coming there next September. Sure would be nice to cruise the islands again.
Here's some pictures of the last summer visit.

You're very welcome. September is a little uncertain with regards to weather. But I have both heater and wipers. Not that I know if any is working but I'll find out.

Congrats and welcome aboard! Beautiful city Stockholm, visted a couple of years ago and really enjoyed the Vassa museum. Just make sure that you get your weight and balance correct:) Learned how important that is at the Vassa:)

Thanks. Yes, the Wasa, or at least they way they sailed her during those brief minutes, was somewhat a fiasco. Perhaps we should have named her Icarus instead...

Were you on a cruiser perhaps?

No we were not on cruise we were in Copenhagen on business for a few days so when done we caught the high speed train to Sweden and stayed in Stockholm for a few days. Enjoyed the sights if not the prices (compared to the US), LOL. The museum was most interesting if anyone is going over there. We checked out: www.vasamuseet.se but unforunately we don't speak Swedish and could not find an English link but perhaps we missed it:)
