My name is Becky and my fiancee, Joe, and I own a 1988 270 Sundancer. We live in Ashburn, VA (northern VA). We've owned our boat for just under a year. It is our first Sea Ray and we love it! We took her out last Sunday for the first time this year. I would like to get advice on removing mold from the headliner. We think the leak is coming from the bow rails so that will be our next great adventure.

hello becky and welcome. I owned a '92 27' dancer, great fun boat! After you fix the leak (my guess is you have to rebed both the bowrail screws and the hatch) you can mix up a solution of bleach 2 tbls, soap and 2-3 qts of water.Put in a spray bottle and spray on a few times over a few days. You can also buy spray at a boat store, prob. same thing. The problem with this is it will probably darken your headliner but for me that's better than black mildew. You could always try a small out of the way spot first to see what will happen to the fabric. I also use dehumidifiers to keep moisture down to a min. Good luck Ric
