Hi Y'all,

I found this site doing some research on Sundancers. The wife and currently have a Scout 210 Dorado and we're looking at getting back into more cruising. We checked out a 260DA but thought it was on the small side, maybe looking at a 280.

Previously Sea Rays have been 235 Weekender, 215OV and a 270DA.

Looking forward to learning more from the site.

Bud.

Depending on your model years you're considering, moving up to a 340 DA might not be that big of a jump. There are a lot of 340s on the market and the prices are very good... If you plan to cruise and sleep on the boat often, the bigger the boat the better. Plus in salt water inboards will be less maintence...

Welcome!

Good advice. Its a buyers market. Shop far and wide. If cruising is your goal, bigger is usually better. Don't worry about handling; you'll do fine.

I wonder if the savings in maintenance make up for the increased fuel and slip costs?
