Hello From North Carolina!

I've posted in the Carolina's forum, but I just realized there's a Who's Who forum also!

We boat on Lake Norman (which is just north of Charlotte) and have been in a boat club for the last couple of years after moving down here to escape the Chicago cold.

This year we decided it was time to get our own boat and I decided to start off with something used.

We are getting our new (to us) boat - a 2002 Sea Ray 240 Sundeck (350 mag, Bravo III) this weekend. It's got 370 hours and runs like a champ - I just got the results back on the mechanical tests and all the cylinders tested out close to perfect. It was fantastic to drive during my sea trial and we are extremely excited to get out on the water (We've got two little girls, 6 and 3 who already love boating..... I'll be starting the older one on tubing this year).

Congrates!!! We started out just like your family. My son is 21 now but when he was 3 we got our first 18ft ski boat and the tube the same year. Now 6 boats later we are in a 410 and he still joins us! Enjoy your journey and family boating. Such a blessing for you!

Welcome. Lake Norman is on my short list for retirement locales. Was down to Charlotte for Monday night football a few months back (stayed in Sherrills Ford on the lake)

Welcome - We used to boat on LKN when we lived in that area. There are a lot of great areas to cover and you'll have a blast with the family there.
