I have been an avid boater since the age of 5 when my folks got into sailing. While dating my future bride, I found she wasn't very comfortable moving about on my C&C. I began to search for a cruiser we could enjoy together. Fortune smiled upon me 4 days after I gave my wife an engagement ring-A broker I contacted phoned me about a 290 Sundancer coming in, she wasnt sure of the condition or hours, but thought the boat was worth a look. I was more than surprised to find a 175 hour lightly used 1994 Sundancer at the dock. I actually showed up a few minutes after the owner had tied her up at the dock. (I think I passed the guy walking down to inspect the vessel) The generator had 25 hours on it, the interior showed NO wear, the side and aft curtains were still sealed in their bags from the manufacturer! Needless to say, I made an offer and she was mine!
My new bride and I have enjoyed the 290 for 4 years now. The worst thing to happen was an ice storm which caused our covered dock to collapse. I was able to negotiate the maze of insurance and perform most of the repairs myself. Straightening and repainting the damaged radar arch was taken care of by my employers bodyshop. I replaced the crushed bow rails, spotlight and r&r the radar arch. While repairing the damage, I installed LEDs in the bow rail to illuminate my windlass and bow cleats at night. I added a Northstar GPS and fuel flow sensor to 'tune' my cruising. Hoping to see you on the water "Mischief"

I like those 290s......welcome !

Sounds like a very nice boat. Where do you take her? We were hit with a couple of those bad ice storms at the lake of the ozarks. Those radar arches are very heavy and a PIA. Welcome.

I keep her at Lake of the Ozarks. I'd like to haul her up to Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin next summer and do some cruising. We will see-I have got 2 foot-itis.
