Hello all. I've been browsing the forum for a while now. I figured it's time to jump in. Picked up an 02 340 last August. The family and I had a blast the Rest of the summer. i have some cosmetic work being done over the winter to make her pretty for the 2016 year. I'm docked out of Huntington and will be getting a mooring in Lloyd harbor to spend the weekends. Looking forward to meeting fellow cruisers.

Welcome to CSR Anthony!

Congrats on your new purchase.

Welcome aboard! You have a good number of CSR participants fairly close to you that get together occasionally so take up their offers when possible. Out here there are slim pickings and I have only met a few CSR members. I haven't given up hope to meet more of the few out here though!

Well, I have to say I support your choice in vessel - congratulations! I restored one of these a few years ago, so there's quite a bit of information in my blog if you're interested.

Welcome and nice boat!
Great location...you'll have a ball (mooring ball...see what I did there, ha..ha)..

Welcome, Anthony congrats on the boat. We're moving to Huntington this season West Shore Marina. Will that be your home base also?

Welcome Anthony
I'm out of Northport.
Maybe Huntington this season if I get a slip.
Will have a mooring in Lloyd Harbor too this season.

I know Willis has slips if your interested. I keep mine on the creek side. Nice group of people on that side

Welcome aboard, Anthony. We have quite a few CSR members in LIS area, with Huntigton and Northport being a frequent gathering spots. Don't be a stranger and join the party.

I just got into the Harbor Boating Club.
I'm low man on the pole so I'm not guaranteed a slip this season because of the size of my boat.
If I don't get one I'll be on a mooring at Seymours again.

Welcome Anthony! We kept our boats in Huntington for almost ten years. It's one of the nicest spots on the north shore of LI. Many fond memories from our years there. We have been in Greenport for the past 5 years.

We have a friend with the same boat as you. They keep it in the Huntington town marina and love the boat! 34 DA in any model year was always a great boat.

Not sure if you have young kids but there is an awesome town Marina in Westport CT, called Compo. It has an unbelievable beach ( for the sound) , playground and courts (skateboard, basketball...). It's open to transient boaters who are non residents. Great day or weekend trip from Huntington.

We we had a mooring in Sand City for several years and had friends with moorings in Lloyd. Both have their pros and cons but are fun spots to hang. Loved the sand hole too but getting in and out was nerve wracking especially on a busy weekend.

There are so many great places to go from where you are located. Essex, Mystic, Montauk, Greenport, Block .... are trips that a 34' is perfect for. Hope you have the opportunity to experience them. Good luck.
