Hello all, I just bought my first big boat. Its an 88' Sundancer 340. It's my new project and could use all your help as I am new to the big boat world.
Things I need help with:
1. This boat did not have a generator and am looking for a upgraded replacement that is slightly used, in the Houston Galveston area. Any suggestions?
2. The fresh water pumps runs but does not put out, any suggestion?
3. I have a serious oil leak while under way and cannot seam to find it. It is on the starboard engine shooting out of the right side of the engine.
4. I have a leak in the front state room from the starboard marker light, I made a new gasket and caulked the hole with marine caulk only to have it leak months later, Suggestions?
5. The boat has not been out if the water for three years and needs the hull to be repainted and anodes replaced any other suggestions whiles out of the water and where the best place is to get anodes.

Thanks

Hey my friend. I have an '89 340 Express Cruiser (work in progress). She's at South Shore Harbor. Water leaks are a BI*&^. I just found a major leak on my boat. Starboard side where the windsheild meets the dash. Wire come up from here to the wiper motors. Check that area and make certian it is sealed off. Leaks up front where fixed by removing the anchore guide (the metal peice the rode pulls through) and re-sealing it. To get to those bolts you'll need a pipe to place your ratchet/wrench in to get to the nuts in the locker area. Keep me posted on your leaks as I have some more to locate.

i just spent time on my fresh water system and, with the help of the experts here, its sorted now. if you search for "water pump" or similar you will find threads here that aleady have most of the answers you need. but if i can be any help, just shout!
good luck with the overhaul.

I would suggest call BM boat service in Seabrook for your bottom paint and anodes, Ben Miller is owner and operator and he will treat you very fair and give you great service 281-455-1085
