My name is Chris Martino, I currently don't own a boat but have grown up with friends that did / still do and always enjoyed being out on the water. I'm hoping to own one in the near future, open to all manufactures as I'm still learning more.

I have been a Technical Illustrator, mostly aerospace and graphic designer for over 20 years. I blended my skills to start my own business in 2007 to serve the marine community by providing hull graphics services. My company is named Raceline Digital and we have manufactured thousands of hull graphic packages for just about every type of boat (many SeaRay owners). Many moons ago I also installed large format graphics for a number of years so I do know quite a bit about vinyl graphics too.

I won't go on any further unless any forum members want to know more about Raceline. If you are curious the webstore is www.racelinedigital.com.

Just wanted to let owners know that our product and services exist and I would be happy to constructively participate with forum members to answer any graphic related questions.

Cheers-

Chris, you may be a bit surprised by the lack of response to your post. I'm not.

Many on CSR believe you should introduce yourself and spend some time getting to know the nice folks on here before you start self-promoting yourself. Doing it the way you did it sort of smacks of a SPAM post and we don't take kindly to those.

Hi guys,

My apologies, I thought giving some insight to who I am, work history would be a start to further / future discussion. My user name is my given name (not hotdog69r) etc. I'm also not here to jump on threads / posts and plug stuff, no sales alerts etc and as a small thanks I did contribute to the forum with paid silver sponsor - not sure what else I could do but again I apologize if anyone was upset with my intro, no harm meant. Like I said if anyone has any question about graphics in general, how to remove old stuff / apply new etc I'm happy to assist.

Cheers,

Chris,

Thanks for the reply. I agree with the earlier post that we all watch out for spam. I own a small beach boat and might be interested in your products. I will let you know as spring approaches.

I'm going to remove our stock decals this spring. Any tips? I have an eraser wheel that I tried and seemed to work fine, but I'm going to burn through a bunch of those if I do the whole boat with them

Welcome!

Web link saved for future reference. Thanks!

Chris, MUCH better, and welcome aboard. Now, post away!

Hi guys,

Thanks and it's great to be a member! We have manufactured graphics for many SeaRay owners over the years so I am familiar with at least a few models.

As far as removing the old stuff, every method is a pain in the rear. Sometimes heating the graphics with a hair dryer will make the vinyl softer and easier to pull off the surface but you'll need to work in small sections at a time (no heat guns). If there is adhesive left and it may sound strange but lighter fluid works well and denatured alcohol also. Again, working in small sections at a time (no ignition sources present!). Both will not harm the surface however always test a small area to make sure.

Hope that helps-

Thanks for posting Chris. Looks like some cool ideas. I'll keep them in mind.

Could I use your photo to illustrate our FREE mockup service as an example? It's always nice to see it before you buy! I can also, as an example, provide the cost for the samples shown.

Thanks!
