Hi. We just purchased a beautiful 1988 SeaRay 415 MotorYacht. Everything's been going great, albiet a few glitches.
For instance, we can not find the power switch to the companion lights (along carpeting, flr. level located on steps in salon and galley) on the boat. Additionally, we can't find the power switch to the lights down in the engine room.
We have all the manuals, etc., but no wiring scematics. Gonna look online for those if we can't get an answer.

Thanks,
our boat is docked in Clayton, NY in the 1000 Islands.

Welcome...that's some boat you got there. Not sure about your switches. My companion lights are labeled "indirect" and the engine room lights are labeled "bilge".

Congrats!

Have you looked inside the liquor cabinet / bookshelf area? Along the inboard panel, about halfway in?

I'm saying this from a foggy memory, but I can confirm for you after the wkd.

Tell us more about your new boat. Which engines? What major options?

My boat is very different than yours, but around the same vintage. My floor level light on the carpeted step inside the cabin is tied in with my cockpit light switch.

Success!! Thank you so much, that worked! We had been searching, searching.... to think it was so simple! Thanks to everyone who replied.
MOre about the boat: 2 454 gas engines. Only 770 hours on them. Boat (no name as of yet!) has been under roof most its life. And in fresh w
ater too.
The only option the origional owner did not choose and we wish we had was the optional single bunk in the forward cabin above the side double. It is such a nice room as it it, but on occasion, that would be nice. Joe is going to figure out how to install one.
Our location is at French Bay Marina in Clayton, NY. We are from PA, it is quite a trek, but well worth it as we have summers off.
Again, thank you,
joe and alison
