Good monring everyone, hope all are having a great day! I live in Durango Colorado, about 7800 feet, and have a 1977 22' Cuddy with a Ford/OMC 235. I bought the boat from Arizona with a 15 pitch prop. No plane at ALL!! put a 12 on, with me and just my wife, we FINALLY got to plane, about 3400 RPM's, and about 18 MPH is all she had. with others in the boat, it won't plane at all. I was told by my local dealer (whom I really like and trust) that I have to make more HP up here to fix it, as an 11 prop is the smallest they make. What is you folks' take? I am looking at high altitude cams, heads (lotsa $$!!). Any help would be great, I sure do want to be able to use my boat like it's meant to be used!
