We've been using the pink colored West Marine boat cleaner to clean our boat. We've got a small streak in the canvas that won't come out when we clean it. We're in need of some stronger cleaner for that. Small amount of oxidation on the hull in a few places as well. Also, our vinyl seat cleaner isn't doing the trick to get stains out.

What would you guys recommend for getting oxidation out, cleaning the boat and canvas, and vinyl seat cleaner? We need something very strong that works well, preferably something we don't have to order online and can find in a boating store. Environmentally friendly products are a must.

For the oxidation:
Read this thread

For canvas cleaning:
303 Fabric Cleaner

For Vinyl cleaner:
Spray Nine and little water and a small hand brush.

My 10 cents

vinyl - Presta Vinyl & Plastic cleaner + Conditioner. Took my grey white seats and made them pure white again.

For me if Simple Green does not cut it I move onto Roll Off. That usually does it then on vinyl I follow up with 3M vinyl cleaner and protector. For the hull oxidation I use Mequiers 67 compound and polish followed by Starbrite Teflon polish. If all I have is black streaks the Starbrite takes it right off.

is this two separate bottles? Presta Vinyl & Plastic cleaner / Presta Vinyl & Plastic Conditioner

I really like presta compound and polish, need to work on the vinyl

For the vinyl try Earth Brite All Purpose Natural Cleaner. It even removed a yellow set in stain from yellow poly rope made by the previous owner. Several people recommended this product when I asked what would remove that stain.

Earth Brite is pretty amazing stuff!

soft scrub on deck floor, nonskid and vinyl is absolutely great; just make sure you rinse really well. Do not use any place u want/have wax; that will come off too.

Not to poo-poo the stuff, but I didn't find it to be all that spectacular, and about the equivalent of a "magic eraser". Another member here gave me his tub when he wasn't wowed by it either. I'll leave his name out, in case this causes a controversy :)

For the vinyl, Spray 9 is great on most dirt and grime followed up by a vinyl conditioner. If you go with something stronger (or anything with bleach like softscrub) be sure to clean and rinse very well afterward. Many of the stronger chemicals weaken the stitching/threads as is well documented here on CSR. On several more stubborn marks, I've found that they fade and/or disappear after sitting in the sun off and on for a few weeks. Not all, but some will. Let mother nature have a shot at it too!

I use Earth Brite on glass, shower (home & boat), my wife made our Caribe look fantastic and in general, it works great. For vinyl, not too impressed. Removes water spots on windows and other glass great!

I tried Earth Brite on my 300DA vinyl. Not so impressed. I ended up giving the tub to another member on here. But I'll not mention his name so not to start a controversy.
