Heatercraft heater wired direct to the battery?

My 200 Select has the multi-speed fan motor but I've noticed that the
<+> and <-> leads are wired directly to the battery. I've checked the Heatercraft website and surprisingly (at least to me) this is the prescribed installation.

Don't you think the unit should be wired to the fuse block accessory switch?

I just realized its wired to the battery switch, which makes perfect sense to me. The lead was wrapped around the <+> battery cable, i just didn't follow it before i started getting all righteous.

It still needs a fuse in line.
