We are at record flood stages in eastern Iowa. The experts are calling them a 500 year flood. I've never heard of such a thing.
But it is real and there is a ton of water coming at you guys in the coming weeks. I live near Cedar Rapids, IA and we had over 5 inches of rain today in just over 12 hours. Not good...

Incase you need it, here is a link to the NOAA website for pool levels. You can see there is a lot of purple shown for the Cedar and Iowa Rivers. You can adjust the map to fit your section of the river....

We had our 500 year flood in 93. Couldn't boat till Sept. of that year. We are supposed to get a 200 year flood this week... Highest water of the year so far. looks like a few more weeks at the dock for us.(if we can still get to it!) We aren't suposed to crest here till the 21st. It's going to be a real mess for a while.
