Starting to look for a new (er) boat. Cobalt 242 and 240 Sundeck from the 2007-2009 era are on the list. Main thing is a larger bowrider / dayboat, but must have a usable head - wife's one requirement. The Cobalt head is big, you step down into it and I can stand up (5'10). Anyone with a 240 Sundeck that can give me some info on the head size - height measurement would be great. If wife can't somwhat comfortably use it and change in it, then it is a non-starter. She really wants a head like we had on our 290da, but is having a hard time understanding that just doesn't happen on a 25' bowrider.

You won’t be able to stand up in the 240 Sundeck head at 5’10”

I don’t have the actual number, it’s under shrink wrap till April.

It is a great day boat though.
Tons of storage and plenty of seating.

I am 6’ and never had a concern in a 240 Head…often changed into a bathing suit in there…. I am shy :)

The height at the door opening is right at 4’. It tapers down a little toward the side and back of the head department. This is on an 04 240.

Yes, you won't be "standing" - but it's not that far off, either. And as Blueone mentioned, there's plenty of room in there to dance around and get jiggy with it. It's plenty big enough to use comfortably and change.

FYI, 4' is the opening - not the height of headroom.

I measured from the floor to the head liner.

I am 6’ 230 and I could use the head if I wanted, but I don’t want.

Thanks for the feedback - now to find a nice clean one and find a new home for my 185BR.

Really? I haven't been on one in a while but I could have sworn the true headroom was taller than that! Maybe my memory is
You 2 had me second guessing myself, so I ran back to the shop, it is just a hair over 48” from the floor to the head liner, the door is 3’ tall, and the step down is a foot. We never have used the head, we use it for storage of tubes and ski ropes and the such.
