Hi All, I am getting ready to look for a new toilet for the bathroom of this boat, and need some advice. I believe the original toilet that came with the boat was a portable type "port a potty" and I was looking at an electric type head that has a macerator and electric flushout? I am new to all this, and didn't have a toilet to begin with when I purchased it. I doesn't look like there is any type of plumbing to connect to for the waste portion or the freshwater system. has anyone ever changed out the porta potty type toilet for a nice electric unit on this year boat?

Hi Matt...btw, I've PM'd you on the other issue.

Regarding this post...you are correct. If you do not see evidence of existing plumbing in the head, your boat came with the standard port-o-pottie. It would be crazy expensive to retrofit your boat with all of the necessary plumbing fixtures to get a "factory" vacu-flush or macerator style toilet installed. I doubt anyone here has ever done that successfully. I personally would not recommend you try, but it would be interesting to see it done. My boat (little sister to yours) came with the option of dockside flushing/pumping of the p-o-p, which is a nice touch if you don't want to manually heave the thing in and out of the head every weekend. That may be a less expensive option for you, than a complete re-fit.

As a side note...I hope you have factory a/c and heat, because I don't and looked into an aftermarket installation. It was out of the question expensive. But then again, I am boat poor!

Good luck!

P.S. Vintage Sea Rays are the best! :smt038
