I am having a difficult time getting the pump out to work on the 1982 Cuddy. It has the original Thetford Aquamate toilet that was never used by the original owner, brand new in appearance.
I replaced the bellows manual flush as the rubber mechanics were stuck shut and removed and inspected the pump out hose. Hose has no damage and is soft and flexible. I have tried different marinas pump outs but no luck. Sometime it will pull some of it out but it never gets good enough pressure or something? I am not really sure.
I have not checked the vent for obstructions yet but I was going to at the suggestion of my brother (KRB64). Any other things to look at or for?
It is a two piece toilet. The top holds the fresh water for flushes and the bottom the waste. On the bottom tank there is a hole on the top that in appearance looks like a vent with a flap. Is this an additional vent for pulling in air only while pumping out and maybe it is stuck shut like the bellows due to no use for 28 years?
Thanks for any advice.
