Noticed this stain from bottom of toilet? I cleaned it last week but I was back today. Thoughts?

It cost me $100 to learn this. Check the hose clamps. If they get loose they will start to leak.

check the clamp that holds the ceramic bowl to the plastic base... or possibly the rubber seal between the two pieces ( I have replaced before ).

remove that plastic cover around the base and clean thoroughly, spic and span. Then it will be easier to pinpoint.

Did that today. Cleaned it all up. One of the bolts holding the unit to the floor looks gunked up but that could just be where it settled.

Update. Went for a ride today and I saw the stain creeping back out.

I had a similar leak last year. I had replaced the bowl gasket and didn't tighten the clamp that surrounds the horizontal bowl joint sufficiently. Even if you haven't touched that clamp I would tighten it as well as your hose clamps. You may need a new bowl gasket as well.

Is the bowl gasket different from the seal kit?
