Have you bought a brand new Sea Ray in the last twelve months ??

'08 340 Sundancer bought July 3 '09 after an impulse decision as they just kept throwing money at it. Seems that it was originally ordered by someone who could not get financing for it. First boat and we love it. Last trip to Atlantic City:

We purchased our 2008 260 DA July 3, 2008 and it's been mostly good. We have had several problems which were mostly a pain in the butt, none severe but nevertheless a pain.

1. boat delivered new with hull coating flaking off in large chunks (dealer repainted over winter months)
2. fresh water pump keeps burping to keep pressure up (looked at 3 times by dealer, still burps every 10 mins.)
3. shower sump switch failed (dealer replaced improperly, had to return 3 weeks later and do proper job)
4. forward bilge pump failed (dealer replaced after 4 weeks)
5. boat transported in spring with canvas up and antenna down permanantly marking the isinglass (dealer paid local shop to replace isinglass)
6. Over winter paid dealer to install screening in rear isinglass portion of canvas (zipper came off in hand 1st try, I paid local shop to repair)
7. Sink in V birth area cracked (dealer notified 8 wks ago so far nothing - notification time was 1 week over 1 yr. warranty)
8. Sink faucet broke off flex hose....water everywhere....(dealer states 3 weeks over warranty your on your own)
9. Door to V-birth became progressively harder to open and close....cleaned, cleaned.....then discovered screws missing from the track under the door where you cannot reach allowing the door to mis-align and grind into the top fiberglass while opening and closing. (dealer again.....sorry out of warranty...contacted Sea Ray directly....awaiting decision)
10. While away on holidays, hot water heater quit working, had to take apart the front assembly and hit the reset switch on front panel. (didn't even bother with dealer)

'08 210 Sundeck, Purchased 06/09. Again, as others have posted. Boat was new, still in stock, and we couldn't pass up the price. Very happy with it.

I have heard that there are lots of "Sea Ray dollars" flowing into new boat deals; i.e., significant discounts to list price. Any experiences on this point that folks would like to share?
