Have you been to your boat this year? 2015

Nope ,but i was there last sunday for three hours. It was a balmy 60 degrees in the storage bldg.We removed the aft cockpit seat and brought it home to be reupholstered, measured for the new name to be made ,measured for the new 32" tv to be installed ,removed the carbon dated 13"tv/vcr and the slider .Measured for the new door to make that area storage.Tried to remove the horns(mike i will send you a pic )I will have to remove the blinds above the galley and the valence to get at the wires first.I will attempt another trip up this weekend if i get my home honey dew list caught up.

Finally made it, but found some bad news. Water in my oil. Dang it. But, it gives me the chance to do some cleaning of the ER and obviously, give both engines some badly needed TLC. I'll be doing the work myself. I'll start another thread on that...

But, it felt good to be on her. We were up last weekend for the whole weekend, and enjoyed it,. It's nice being here with the whole place to myself!

Went to see how the boat was doing in storage today, not happy with how close they backed it up to another boat, his anchor is sticking halfway into my cockpit. Can't open my my engine hatch. They also removed four pieces of canvas...nowhere to be found. :smt021

Blocks and adjustable supports on the sides, they had to lower my stern to fit under his anchor so the boat is sitting at a funny angle. Already sent a complaint into managements! Boat is for sale, not very appealing to show now!

I'd be pissed also.

If they are charging you beam x LOA - I'd be asking for some money back as well.
4 feet of his boat is invading your space.

Exactly what I said to management, they gave me a $200 credit towards slip fees, they will also have to replace lost canvas!
their reply was that they over sold the storage space and had to cram the boats in tighter

Took a ride to our old marina in Rome NY,

But it was too cold to get out of the car... 27°F windchill 17°F brrrr.

I would be loosing my $H!T over this...Credit my @$$! I would be taking my business elsewhere!

BBY, You'll die before me, Life is too short to worry over little things.

Give them a chance to make things right.

Was on my boat today ! It was pouring rain but I was in the area doing some canvas work. All was well and it felt good to be on board. High temps next week only supposed to be in the 20s.

Don't know why this pic is sideways?

Quint !! You are past the degree of no return. :wow:

Walked out to the Garage today and she is right where I parked her back in October. Maybe I will go to the boat tomorrow and keep working on my project.

NYE, NY Day, Sydney Harbour, with my Brother and sister in law.

2nd Jan, daughter wanted a day out with us and the dog, so we went out onto our local bay, rafted up with our dock neighbours and enjoyed the day, swimming and relaxing..........then that night we put her on a plane to head off on her very first overseas adventure alone...that was (is) hard!

Yesterday, took my Brother out for a fish, we run out about 25km off the coast, then did a slow troll back. He had to sell his boat a few months back due to ill health and was up from Adelaide for a few days, so was looking forward to getting out on the boat.

Is that storage location so clean you don't cover your boat? especially the cockpit area?

I went down on the 1st and ran the engines up to temp, but I am ashamed to admit its the first time I was down at the boat in 8 weeks. Everything was in order though, aside from the VHF antennae coming down in a windstorm.

Finally made it to mine this weekend. Temps in the 40s to 60s w/ gentle winds here in central Texas. Had the marina and lake mostly to ourselves.

We went to the boat after Christmas. We had some presents for it. Makes me sad to see it on blocks. Thankfully we have a shrink wrap door and access to electricity for heat.

We went down to the boat to take care of a few things on January 2nd and wound up sitting on the swim platform with my feet in the water playing with manatees.
