When you leave your home port or residence it is no longer your home and you fall under the jurisdiction of the state your are in so if in mass or NYC or jersy you go straight to jail and don't pass go. Unless you end up in a state that reciprocates with your home state you can pass thru other states as long as you do not stop you can get food and fuel but no over night that's when you are protected under the federal laws but some states refuse to acknowledge the federal law and will bust your butt.

Ditto in Canada. Unfortunately not that way in the US it would seem.

I guess if we do the great loop we should not fly the Canadian flag, and instead fly an ensign of the NRA and a right to carry/stand your ground state.

I live in Il. Have not been boarded by CG. But plenty by federal and state game wordens.With guns although visible in gun cases . As many as 6 guns at a time during waterfowl season.We have a stupid FOID card in IL we need to have to use and transport firearms. It doesn't take place of concealed and carry. That's a whole different animal.I never have had issue.
