My current issue is that I have to tap the side of the vacuumflush generator tank sitting underneath the pump motor located in the ER about every 4 or 5 flushes in order to trigger the pump motor to come back on to build a vacuum. I'm leaning toward a defective vacuum switch but was curious if anyone else has ever experienced this before and have any recommendations for fixing? Thanks :smt021

I think your right on target. I had the same issue with mine, I would have to tap on the tank to activate the switch. This is what I did to determine for sure the switch was the problem. I removed the cover over the swith and after flushing the toilet if the tank did not begin to fill, I was able to manipulate the switch and get it to work. You might give that a try. I replaced the switch and haven't had a proplen since.

YEP, I replaced the vacuum switch and (Knock On Wood) it hasn't failed since. Thanks for the input and reinforcement, the switch is about half the price of a new motor. :)
