"Hats Off" to Standard Horizon (YAESU)

Purchased a Standarck Horizon HX850S handheld probably 7 or 8 years ago, and have kept this inside the cabin as a "just in case". About 3 weeks ago, when I picked this up, I got black streaks all over my hands from the outside case. Sent an email to YAESU and they replied next day on how to ship this back for repairs. Received this back today, and they replaced the outside case for a sum of $0.00. Sure is nice when companies stand behind their products (even if they are no longer in production!)

Yeah. I bought a SH GX1700 for our last boat and a few months later I had a dead line of pixels on my screen. Called them and sent it back. They fixed it and had it back to me in a few days

I have a SH 850 and a 870...The 870 was new last yr...Used it for a month and when I got back after the winter, it wouldn't charge....Thought it was a bad battery but it was internal charging....Honestly I wasn't pleased such a new device could have a failure and it was a hassle returning it for repair...But, in fairness, they did turn it around quick and it seems to be functioning...I've always been a supporter of SH but I wish they had a charger outside the radio.
